After my trip from Brazil 🇧🇷, the real fun was over, and it was back to work. This immediately reminded me of some critically endangered primates I met once when I visited Vietnam 🇻🇳. I was walking along a wonderful mountain path ⛰️ when I heard rustling in the leaves 🍂. To be honest, these Red-shank Duocs were all about business. 💼
Counsel: “We see you’ve managed to find us.” 🧐
Me: Puzzled and confused. “I found you? I wouldn’t have noticed if you didn’t move. But how’d you know I was looking for you?” 🤔
Counsel: The group looks around before the monkey on the left spoke up, “We know more about you than you think.”
Me: “Seriously, how’d you know I was looking for you?” 😐
Counsel: A few facial expressions and grunts later, “We are known for our confidentiality 🙊 so it’s not our place to say. Do you remember who you talked to?”
Me: Immediately thinking and rambling through my last conversations, “Nobody. I literally just booked this quick excursion last night at 8pm through email 📧. I did think the website was shady and it might be a scam but-” 😵💫
Counsel: “So you did talk to somebody?”
Me: “You must know the guy I booked this trip with.”
Counsel: Monkey chuckles amongst the group, “What’s in your hand?” 👀
Me: I looked down at my camera, then realized the joke was on me. Slowly looking up with a smile, “Oh, I guess it’s obvious why I’m here.” 😏
Counsel: “It seems to be... So are you going to take our picture? We have places to be.”
Me: “Most definitely. By the way, what were you guys talking about before I walked up?”
Counsel: “None of your Monkey Business” 🐒💼
