I had to get this guy off my computer. 🖥️Ever since I posted his cousin, the other week, he has been tapping my screen non-stop. Let’s just say, his first impression is lasting 😑…

Tanager: “Hey, what were you saying to my cousin over there?”

Me: “Um… I don’t know which one was your cousin.” 🤷🏾‍♂️

Tanager: “The one with the red that looks like me. They call him Ruby. He’s a Red-necked Tanager. I’m…”

Me: “Let me guess. Banana 🍌, the Yellow-necked Tanager?”

Tanager: “What’s up with you and bananas? You must be the guy the monkeys 🙊 were talking about.”

Me: “What? Wait, the monkeys–”

Tanager: “Nevermind-” 🤐

Me: “But-”

Tanager: “It’s nothing, forget about it. I’m Gem, the Green-headed Tanager.”

Me: “Of course, nice to meet you Gem.” 👋

Tanager: “Well?” 🤨

Me: “Well, What?" 🫤

Tanager: “Well, what did you say to my cousin?”

Me: “Oh, my bad. I told him to say ‘crayola’ when I wanted him to smile for the camera.

Tanager: “You should have told him say ‘banana’. 🍌🙃Now, can you take my picture?”

Me: “Sure. Say…(sigh)... Banana” 🍌📸
