We are lucky to get Ruby-throated Hummingbirds where I live. I took this photo without knowing what was actually happening. It was the usual chaos around the hummingbird feeder after a rain, but I noticed the one flying oddly. I thought it was some display as it was guarding the feeder.

Turns out, it was singing to these gnats. From the burst I took, it looked like they loved the sound of his call so much that they flew into his throat looking for where the beautiful melody was coming from. It must have been a beautiful place to see because I didn't get a single picture of one flying back out .
